Nice places to visit 5: squares

Hi there, and we're back with the theme: squares in Belo Horizonte. There is many squares around the town, with multiple names. We have already said 'Praça da Liberdade' and 'Praça do Papa'. Here there are a few more of them:
  • 'Praça Sete' (Seven square): it's a square in the heart of the town. It contains an Obelisk, built in 1922 and marks 100 years of the Brazilian independence from Portugal. It's on the 1st image.
  • 'Praça da Estação' (Station Square): it's a square that have many fountains and a statute. It has this name because there is the 'Central Station of Belo Horizonte'. It's on the 2nd image.
  • 'Praça Raul Soaes' (Raul Soares Square): it's a round square that you can walk, feed birds, sit on the benchs and see the landscape of the trees. It's on the 3rd image. The walks were suitable pavement for easy access, especially for the disabled and the visually impaired. It's on the 3rd image.
  • 'Praça JK' (JK Square): it's a square in tribute of Juscelino Kubitschek, a Brazilian president during 1956-1961. It's area for walking, running, cycling, skating, buying ice cream, etc. Right NOW it's happening a event honoring the 2010 South Africa World Cup. It's on the 4th image.
